In our last blog post, we shared that a SWOT analysis was one way to get your team aligned around what your company should be focused on in the new year.
We said that you could use the “weaknesses” part of the SWOT to focus on areas where you may be lagging behind competitors.
Another approach you can take is to ask your team what fires they are dealing with regularly. What problems keep recurring? The answer to this question often reveals some systemic problem that undoubtedly is affecting your customers.
Be sure to ask the entire team. I’ve found that employees may be afraid to share problems with their boss. Encourage the team to be transparent.
